I have an old Surface Pro 3 charger that I have in the house that uses the proprietary connector.

I have been able to charge my Surface book 2 with it without troubles, albeit probably slowly.

When I plugged it in to my Surface Go, the indicator light would blink and it wouldn't charge.

So beware. I guess if your charger uses the surface connect, it will not always work.

Attached a picture of the charger. Tbh I'm not sure of I had it for sp3 or sp4

I'm using a Surface Pro 3 charger with my Go too. I did notice that it was blinking briefly, but it has been charging my Go.

Does your screen turn on periodically? I don't like it when it blinks like that I feel I might damage the battery.

I haven't noticed the screen turning on, but I guess it could be (I usually close the type cover when I'm not using it).

I wasn't too worried about the charger damaging the battery, but hopefully someone who knows more about it can let us know if it's safe.

I am planning on selling my Surface Pro 3 anyway, so I'll be switching to the charger that came with the Go. I'm only using the SP3 charger because it has the extra USB port on it and I'm charging my phone with it.

If I remember correctly, it was just the cable that went from the brick to the wall outlet, and they sent me a new one.
