Charging plate &book

Just a quick question ,would it be safe to make a cut out in a book in which to place the charging plate with regards to any overheating problems,
I know it's safe stuffed in a fat boy pillow,but do they use a fire or heat resistant stuffing.
Love the charging plate,not so much the spartan look on the table.

I did this with mine. The only issue I have had is that when the phone is completely discharged, it takes a long time to start charging through the book. In those cases, I just open the book and charge directly on the plate.

Made mine today,vintage Longfellow,also found a vintage anglepoise lamp,cost me ?10 all in all a good day.
