Chat on Windows Phone 8

Hi, I'm using a Lumia 920, and have setup my Microsoft Account and Facebook. However, I find that whenever someone chat to me on MSN Messenger or Facebook, I don't get notified on the 920. I was using Lumia 800 some time ago, and I vaguely recall the chat should come in automatically. What am I doing wrong here?

Couple of clarifications:
- I also have other gadgets that I'm signed in to MSN and Facebook chat - including Imo app on iphone. The chats appear there on the iphone but not on 920. (This is not trolling - I genuinely believe WP8 should be receiving the messages and want this to work)
- My Lumia 920 is on 3G network. I've turned ON the Battery Saver with condition of saving battery when it is low. I still have more than 90% so it is not activated (no heart icon on the top)

If your are comfortable try a reset, as there is no way to unlink the account once you set it up.

Or how about signing out from other devices and see if its works

You are doing nothing wrong, it's simply broken on WP and unless Microsoft fixes it, it won't ever work reliably for you.

when you turn battery saver on it turns off the facebook chat to save battery ...atleast that how i does on wp7
