I would love to see ChatGPT die in fire, but I think this article is ignoring some of the obvious.

Kids are on summer break. Watch those numbers go up in September.

Even if OpenAI goes bankrupt, somebody is going to snatch up that technology. Its "fate" is it's most likely going to be owned by Microsoft. Tech CEOs like shiny things and right now LLMs are the shiny thing.
