Compulsion Games was founded in 2009 and it hasn't been an easy road for the team. The first game the team launched was Contrast in 2013, but it didn't garner great reviews. After that, it worked on We Happy Few, but that title also didn't garner stellar scores. However, in both cases, the world-building and storytelling was unique, and Microsoft eventually made the team into a first-party Xbox Game Studio.
