Chime in: What first got you into VR?

It doesn't matter what platform; we just want to know what brought you to the virtual world.
VR as an idea is exciting, but actually getting to try it out yourself is another thing entirely. A lot of people don't know what they're missing up until they strap a head-mounted display (HMD) onto their face, and from there it can easily become a bit of an obsession.
