Circle Next to Battery Indicator

Does anyone know what the circle means that's to the left of the batter indicator?

It means the GPS is being used.

Ahh... I keep noticing that thing and was wondering what it was. Thanks to the OP for creating this thread and to those who replied!

Mine got stuck on once..I had back-closed all the apps and it woudn't go away. I manually turned off the location services and then turned them back on and it went back to "normal" (ie only coming on when an application requests location data then going away). Haven't had the issue since. Was glad I didn't have to do a full reboot of the phone to clear it.
