Coating problem of Surface Laptop (Burgundy)??

Just got two new Surface Laptops last week:

• i5 (platinum color) for my daughter
• i7 (burgundy color) for myself

I'm very happy with the devices except that the Burgundy coating is not even - the Burgundy color is more deep near the center and looks obviously more dull towards the edges. The i5 platinum coating does not have that problem.

Is that a common problem among all Surface Laptops (1st gen, Burgundy in particular)? If that's a common problem, I am ok and am not going to request a replacement.

I can definitely see what you mean! Might have something to do with the coloring process? In any event I could probably live with it also. I really like that shade of burgundy.
