Come on, Bell... Don't you want my money?

So yesterday I'm at the local Bell retail outlet asking about the 830. Guy looks in the bottom cupboard, they have one in black. I turn it on, we fast forward through the setup, I check it out... I love it. I want it. I can buy it outright because I've been raking in overtime for the last month. He starts to get ready to make the sale, checks the computer: No. Pricing. Information. He can't sell it to me, because it has no SKU. Doesn't exist. No info from the carrier, no info from the supplier. What. The. Eff?!

The whole pricing system for the Microsoft phones seems a bit odd. Went on Amazon and they have the 735 (from several vendors) at 439$, the 830 (from several vendors) at 449$ and the 930 (also several vendors) at 459$. Seems the 735 and 830 are way overpriced and the 930 about right. Going to wait and see what happens. My 820 is still going strong so I am not in a hurry. But when the big carriers start getting the 735 and 830 at a decent price I might upgrade. All these phones are unlocked. At the prices on Amazon the 930 is by far the best buy; but no SD slot.Big no no.

No micro SD is the big thing keeping me from taking the plunge on the 930... I have 40 GB of music and videos (mostly for road trips with the kids, so it's essential) on the SD card in my Ativ S...

Go to Wireless Wave. That's where I went to get mine... a day before it "officially" released in Canada (although I'm sure you all know that was a big lie).

I live in Saskatchewan. In a town of about 35,000 people called Moose Jaw (no joke) and the nearest Wireless Wave--in fact the only one in the province--is in Saskatoon, about 212 km north by northwest of here.

I'm willing to bet that even if I find the time to make the drive they won't have any in stock.

UPDATE:

My local retailer finally got their act together! My upgrade came in and I picked up a black 830 yesterday. I can't believe how much better the battery is than my Ativ S, even though it's smaller capacity. Standby and even heavy use barely makes a dent. I'm guessing it's having the updated firmware making the difference, but the truth is I'm getting better battery life than I ever got on my Ativ S, as great as it was...
