Been a user of Lumia 950 since launch and since I've tried every flagship phone here is including iPhone, pixel and pixel 2 , essential, LG G6 etc. Always come back to my Lumia 950. Few months ago during my move I dropped the phone and got screen cracked. No way to replace it as it costs more than what the 950 is worth. So been reluctantly using the essential and pixel 2. Went on a Xmas vacation and I had to take my cracked 950 just for the camera. No other phone comes close to it for pictures.

So finally getting a good deal on a mint Lumia 950 here locally. So buying it today and may sell the essential and keep the pixel 2 as a backup. It's strange that Im still drawn towards a 4 year old phone

It's so sad that the W10M is dead. But for the time being I'll use the 950 till it no longer works.

I've never broken a phone before. This one happened when I as moving my house. Packing and carrying things and talking at the same time. Normally I never have cases on my phones. This one came with a decent case. But that takes the look away. So I might go naked again

Finally back on nt beloved Lumia 950. Setup it up from the old phone backup and back in business. Oh man. How much i missed this phone. My $900 pixel 2 is in the drawer now !!

the thing is that they are so easy to break without a case..... I never broke a phone before and one day my 1020 just slipped out of my hand.....

not worth the trouble to not pay the ten bucks for a case.

I came back to WM10 again via the Idol 4S that was on fire sale. I miss the fluidity of the OS. It's a shame that MSFT actually keeps the OS/security patches current (unlike *cough Android* cough) but the Apps are so outdated. Anyway I bought it for nostalgia sake, I will keep it even if WM10 dies. I have a Lumia 925 as a reminder of WP8.1 as well.

I've had my Lumia 925 for over 4 years, and although it has it's hiccups and I'm sure it's slower than most modern phones I still love it. I also like the Lumia line, and I've come close to upgrading to a Lumia 950 I saw on ebay. But I've been very reluctant since my phone is still running fine, but every now and then it reminds me that it may be time for an upgrade. We'll see.

I contemplated getting a L950 or L950 XL but in the end opted to get a another second hand L930 instead at £45.

It's a Denmark Variant, as such the darn equaliser works without the need for headphones... I guess someone at Microsoft forgot to edit the configuration files for all regions. As it does never worked without headphones on my faulty L930, which is a CV GBIE.

I might end up transplanting the motherboard from my old L930 into the new model but I've got everything working except the SIM but only if I hit a upgrade road block.

Also if anyone is wondering the upgrade advisor still works (not available for L920 as that is the only other Lumia device I have) and downloaded build: 10.0.10586.107 and now updating Build 14393.1066. Once updated will most likely need to update again as the latest build on my faulty L930 is 14393.2007.

The alcatel idol 4s is still £419.99 in the Microsoft UK store.... if it was at the US price... i'd have bought one in a heart beat.

I too am enthralled by the power of Zeiss/Pureview/OIS/DNG goodness that these phones can produce.

I've cycled through 1520, 1020 and finally settled on 950 for my dedicated camera. I recently received a Mozo red leather back to dress my 950 up. I had it in Portugal for 2 weeks and LOVE the pics I snapped there using the 950.

Starting with the 1520, I also invested in enhancements to the experience such as BeastGrip, lights, microphone, filters, add-on lenses...

For about a week now, I've been carrying an LG G6, the first time I've pretty much ever used Android as my day to day device. While the third party support makes it far superior to WM, I can't bring myself to stop carrying my 950. When I need a photo, a quick snapshot for a note, or a photograph I'd like to keep, my 950 is still far superior.

As Worldspy said, it is ridiculous that this old phone that is pretty much only in maintenance support mode is more up to date than my current gen flapship G6.

I understand because I am doing the same thing. I have an Alcatel Idol 4s that I bought for $99 and I have a Lumia 950 with White back that I have coming that I paid $109 for. (I had sold my 950 I did have back in October but, that was a mistake.) I have a Sony XPeria XA1 for my go to Android phone but that is the only Android phone I have.

The only device I own that has issues with the Windows Mobile Platform in my Garmin Vivoactive 3. Does anyone know of a clear Incipio type of case I can purchase for the 950? I looked and did not find the Incipio branded one itself.

I would recommend getting a Mozo case for the L950 :winktongue:.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, I prefer clear cases only and that is so I can see the phone and not hide it. :) I think I will go without a case on this phone, since it never feels like I am going to drop it.

I dropped one 950 and broke the actual display, so it wouldn't display anything on-screen at all, then it's replacement ended up getting dropped and a shattered digitizer. It worked, but I carried it for a long time with broken glass. These phones aren't nearly as sturdy as the OG Nokia Windows Phones.

I am not really concerned so much about the sturdiness but just that I like the way the phone looks with the white back cover. The Idol 4S has a Incipio clear case on it but, it also has a glass back. I used to have a 950 up until September of last year, sold it and bought this one I have now because I missed it.

I have a cheap clear case coming anyways: https://www.bestbuy.com/site/mophie-wireless-charger-black/5710751.p?skuId=5710751

There are a couple of Mozo cases I have for my 950 as well. I particularly like the black with wooden back. Strangely though, I prefer the "inexpensive" blue plastic back I purchased some time ago. I've even received compliments from a few iPhone owners.
My 950 is my primary phone. I also have an S8; it's a beautiful phone (w/ Launcher 10 and a dark theme) but I still prefer W10M too. I also prefer a few of the apps on W10M to their Android equivalents (ReddPlanet as an example).
