Constant wifi connection?

Today my wifi icon started showing the little communication arrow non stop and it won't go away as long as I'm connected to Wi-Fi. Any ideas on if this is an app or some setting causing this? When on LTE I don't have the same problem with the connection arrow staying on.

This is a feature from the DEMIN update and if you have CYAN + P4D.
It can not be switched of and shows network activity's.
Maybe an app is constant checking. Like WhatsApp or a weather app. And for this app you probably only allowed wifi.

I actually have an HTC M8 with T-Mobile so no denim update. Also the arrow itself is not the problem, it stays on constantly when before, it would only show during activity.

I just updated my before post. Did you install an app which always "needs" to have communication. So my best guess is an app which constant checking. If you have data sense maybe you can find the app If it is not app related a soft reset, clearing your IE history ot a reset of your router also may work.

Interesting, I only allow weather, calendar, and Cortana to run in the background. Everything else is set to do not allow. Wonder of its a router issue?

Did you by any chance take a lot of pics lately?

​Maybe the phone is backing up photos to OneDrive as that only goes over WiFi...
