Contacts in Skydrive?

Hi

Am I right to assume we have a copy of contacts in our Skydrive?

To cut a story short, I have many duplicated contacts or wrong info contacts in my phone and I suspect the problem may be with the contacts stored in Skydrive. If the answer is yes, can I:

1) Delete all the contact in Skydrive.
2) Upload all new re-edited contacts in my phone up to Skydrive?

I went to my live account and I couldn't find the contacts info there.

It doesn't save a file there. If I were you, I would just link all the same contacts together.

You will find your contacts in "People". On a PC, go to skydrive.com and login. Click the little downwards arrow in the top left corner next to the SkyDrive logo, then click People. You will see all your contacts here which are linked to your phone. BEWARE though, I would make a backup of these first before you go editing them. Whatever you edit or delete on the website will automatically change on your phone, they are synced. Make a backup first by clicking Manage at the top, then Export (this is whilst in the People section on the website).

I don't think so. I think they are indeed stored in the cloud (skydrive) when you add a photo of the contact on your phone, but I don't think they are accessible to us through SkyDrive, not that I know of anyway.

I only find the email ids in the contacts under people tab. I can't find any phone numbers. and i am facing Error 85010014 while syncing my phone with hotmail account. Can you advice where my contacts backup is ?:crying::crying::crying::crying:

Your phone numbers should definitely show up in People. Are you using a Microsoft Account on your phone that is different to your usual Hotmail account? It will be your Microsoft Account that holds your phone numbers for your phone. If you are just using your Hotmail account for email, then they wouldn't show up if you logged into People on skydrive.com or through outlook.com using your Hotmail account.

Just have a quick check on your phone in Settings > 'email+accounts' and see what email address is showing for your Microsoft Account. This is the account that will hold your phone numbers online.
