Contacts Search on Windows Phone 8.1

Contacts list shows the contacts, and when I type any letter to search for contacts, it shows no results. How to fix it since I have updated to Windows Phone 8.1

change the keyboard in settings.
and use "People Search" app, which gives better search options and phone keypad dictionary search if needed.

I am having the same problem. I have tried other people apps and just am not happy with them. Originally, people search still worked with social media and just didn't work with my Exchange Actice Sync. Noe it won't find anything. This is really making it tough. Any ideas? Is it an indexing thing?

ShreyansShah- I looked in keyboard options and see anything obvious to change that impacted people search.

if u r using People Search app,
go to settings. go to search fields options. u can select the fields which u want.

I originally meant that I am trying to search in the Windows "People" App and having the same issue as nabilhabib. I am using "People Search" to make up for that, but I like the Windows app better.

I have the same problem.
Before the update, WP 8 searched my contacts rapidly and well.
Since updating to WP 8.1, this basic function is broken.

Anybody have a fix?

Finally, out of desperation, I did a full RESET of my Lumia 820.
At least I was able to restore most of my phone back to its original functionality, and this DID fix the contacts search problem.

But, it cost me several hours of screwing around to fix a problem caused by the 8.1 update.
This sort of problem with Microsoft stuff is just unacceptable.

Have any of the rest of you gotten this fixed?

After your full reset, are you back to Win 8 or still on 8.1? It sux that you can't even search your contacts...

Same problem for me as well with a Lumia 1520 after 8.1 O.S: update: any solution to fix this apart from full reset? Tks
