Cortana and battery consumption

My phone was losing like 30%-40% when I was sleeping and even had quiet hours on, woke up and checked the battery saver to see Cortana.
Using WP 8.1 on Lumia 520.

It may be on the battery intensive side but that should improve in the future. However, battery drain is based on level of use.
