Cortana doesn't launch applications on the phone from the band, why?

Cortana doesn't launch applications on the phone from the band

If you have any applications that you can launch from Cortana on the phone (both standard and custom applications), when you press and hold the Cortana action button on the band and issue the command, it flows to the phone, and the phone tries to launch the app, but just hangs on the .....trying to load (App name) screen.

Whereas if you do it from the phone Cortana it works fine.

Any thoughts?
