Cortana doesn't listen to my voice when mic icon is pressed

I am running windows 10 mobile tech preview build 10586.36 on my Lumia 532.
Before the upgrade I had to do a hard reset to free up some space. After I performed the upgrade, I tried to perform a voice search on Cortana. When I press the mic icon Cortana doesn't listen. Instead it stands there for2-3 seconds and crashes?
What should I do? Please help................
