Cortana on Note 10+ not even close to 950XL

Everything works on this phone with the exception of 2 very important things:

1) Contacts are no longer solely stored in outlook
2) Cortana is no longer available with a long press of a blue tooth earbud button

I am highly reliant on both and hope that I'm just using this wrong.

Any advice is appreciated.
