Cortana Upgrades?

Wondering.. How do you know when Cortana's skills have been expanded? That is when new functionality has been added.

And also when do you know the software on the Harmon Invoke has been upgraded?

This is one issue that's common across all "smart speakers"/AIs, including Alexa and Google Assistant. The only way to tell is to try new phrasing/commands with Cortana (or other Assistants) or check related news sites for info. All of these are continually evolving, and for the most part, the changes occur on the back end.
