Cortana Windows vs iOS

Why in all hell does Cortana on iOS use the entire screen and we get 2/3 of our screen on Windows Phone? Microsoft does so many dumb things with Windows Phone and this is just another example.

True I was bummed when I saw how Cortana handled on the iPhone in comparison to my WP....

Just ridiculous. It was much better in 8.1. Seems like a web wrapper at best on 10.
