Cortona & Image search problems

Searching for images with Bung on Windows Phone us to work great. Now the latest draw back of Windows Phone 8.1 has revealed itself to me. Searches all go through Cortona now. So when I search a topic and move the tab over to images, 60% of all those images come up with just the generic picture icon. Then the thumbnails that do work, come up with nothing more than a black screen when I choose that picture hoping for a full screen image. Anyone know why this is happening?

Who's Cortona? :p

I would say wait to see if someone replies with the same issues you are having. In my case I am unable to reproduce. Images load fine in the search through Cortana.

I am also experiencing this problem. In addition, if a thumbnail works and brings up the picture, it does so with a substantial delay.

Does it happen both through cellular and Wi-Fi?

I should have thought of that. On a few tests it only happens through cellular only. Through WiFi I got all thumbnails and all pictures I loaded came up. However the delay in opening the pictures was still there.

Not only that, but I've never heard of the search engine "Bung"... Is that an anal porn thing? LOL

It looks like the problem has been fixed. All thumbnails are showing up when using cellular data, so far all pictures show up when I touch a thumbnail and the speed seems somewhat improved.

This happens to me on cellular and WiFi. I've rebooted my phone but our still only shows a small percent of the photos. My best guess is that remember that Cortana is still in preview beta status. Hopefully things will be smoothed our with the full release in June.

Cortona/Bing image search is still very poor for me. Half the images some load to full screen when clicked and often when I do click one it will load an image that was actually 6 thumbnails after it and no where near where I pressed.

This is what I get most of the time.

And I get the same issue with the thumbnails, the one I select usually isn't the same picture when it actually (rarely) opens.
This happens with:
- Cortana on, cell data
- Cortana on, WiFi
- Cortana off, cell data
- Cortana off, WiFi

I get this as well. The thumbnails that do show either bring me to a black screen or bring me to a picture other than what the thumbnail shows, just as others have stated. Hopefully the update that's rolling out addresses this.

Had anyone heard of Microsoft even acknowledging this? Anytime iI post it in any of their fortunes, they tell me that I'm the first to complain about it.

This may help some of you with this issue. Turning off location seems to disable Cortana, so maybe try that when this issue arises.
