Dan,

With the way that Windows 10 marked a return to a user experience that was more familiar to classic Windows, and with the way Windows 10 Mobile removed many beloved (by us here) UI / UX design elements from WP8 in favour of more generic design, do you feel that Microsoft will no longer be bold in driving UI / UX innovation, afraid to upset the status quo and people afraid of change?

Even from what we've seen of Project Neon, what's it shaping up to be - Aero effects 2.0?

I've always felt like Windows 8 / Windows Phone 8 was a bit like Marty McFly playing 80's metal guitar in 1955. People weren't ready for it yet (unfortunately). :(

With regard to mobile, live tiles make so much sense. I dislike the wasted space on iOS and Android with huge voids between the 25+ year old desktop icons.

I'll always love the metro design language. It was the perfect compliment for Nokia's fabula design language on the hardware side of things.
