Critical Error - Start menu and Cortana aren't working. We'll try to fix it this next time you sign in. Who else is getting this error message? Unlike some users, Win 10 runs exceptionally well on my SP3.....until I get this message. I've found a way to get the machine back in use but its a PITA!!!! What gives with this???? In the Windows Community, I found the recovery on is from August. I would think an issue this major would be a #1 priority for Microsoft.:eck:

If anyone that has had this Critical Error message and found a permanent fix, please pass it along!!!!

I have exactly the same problem what is the fix
Hold the power button down and the machine will eventually give you the option to shut down. Do that, then push the shift key and power button at the same time. Start in safe mode. After its in safe mode, restart to regular mode and that will get you back up & running. There are YouTube vids that show an alleged permanent fix. I haven't had the error pop up after I restarted, though
