Custom ringtone for Facebook messenger?

Copied an mp3 of the original Facebook message tone from my pc to the ringtones folder, but I still can't pick it in the settings.

So, this is still not possible after all these years? Disappointing.

Check to see if it plays properly before copying... I had a similar issue and had to redo the sound file I was trying to use.

Hey I think this problem is with the update after Developers Preview.
Same problem with other apps.
