JFC What tf is wrong with M$? I feel like throwing this piece of trash (L950XL) in the bin. Just when I think it's working it starts going awry again. Anyone else experiencing this, or do I have another dud unit (my fourth!!!)

My manufacturer name is RM-1085_13829. It is the single sim one for the UK.

Core build is 1130.122

I did a clean install and restored no backups.

Is W10m irredeemable trash? I can't believe I would have so many dud units. The SD card I have made no difference to the previous ones, and it is a top notch one anyway.

Your post is a bit abrasive in tone, it's just that you might get more help by removing the expletives.

I take it you have the 950 XL.
Have you tried reinstalling Windows using the 'Windows Device Recovery Tool'?
This app will also check for firmware updates which may fix your problem.

Yes, it is the 950. Original post updated.

I think I have every right to be annoyed. I have spent 6-8 days in total babysitting reinstalls for phones that have the same problem repeatedly. I am ready to switch to Android at this point, even though I've invested ?100-150 in apps and features.

I shouldn't need to reinstall Windows on a 1 month old phone. I'd like to know if many others are still having problems so I can explore alternatives, or get a different model replacement (e.g. the dual sim one from Europe).

You have a right to be annoyed, however this forum isn't affiliated with Microsoft and is run by Windows enthusiasts/fans.
So ranting isn't the best way to get assistance.
Even if you just run the Windows Device Recovery Tool it will show you if the firmware and software are up to date, before reinstalling anything.

Just for the pounds app investment you should go back to official released 10586.164 and firms via WDRT, according to the fact the most of single sim users are good with it.

I am on those. I never went insider because of the instability I am receiving.

My theory is that I have either 1)a rogue app, or 2) most of the L950XLs sent to the UK (single sim) have this problem, or 3) W10 is unfixably unstable and deteriorates over time.

As I did not have this problem until recently on this phone after a clean install, I think it is either 2 or 3. As far as I know only the UK has only the single-sim 950xl from major countries. Therefore it might be that they made a big batch of those and shipped to the UK before switching to the improved single-sim/dual-sim and all are afflicted similarly.

Are you using a dual sim version? Have you had this problem?

The 3rd could be strange, considerin all phones working well with it (my 520 and 650 among them).
So, there's time for an hard reset (in your case a restore via WDRT), as a notebook needing a format: something when wrong. O.s. or apps or other files, it dont cares.
There's out some firm updates for 950

PS: if you got a SD card, check it via pc. Maybe better move all apps in phone

EDIT: dual sims have sometimes data carrier iussues with both sims inside, especially in Redstone. I don't owe one, I red it in forums

Getting to the stage where my 640 needs restarting daily. I'm on .164.
Seriously disappointed, always been a loyal windows and lumia fan but this being deemed stable enough for release is enough for MS or me to give up with windows phones.
