Deleted photos still on live tile?

Why is it that when I delete photos from my camera roll and from OneDrive, they still show up on the live tile? Inquiring minds want to know....

I think the 'tile' only checks the Photo app once a day (or when rebooted) so it doesn't drain the battery/processor constantly seeking updates...

Go to settings and tap 'Shuffle now'. Should refresh the images displayed on the live tile
