Dell USB C dock

Hi all. Im pretty new to the USB C thing so please do excuse the stupid question.

My work supplied laptop is a Dell 2 in 1 hybrid laptop. It comes with a USB C desktop dock which has all of my peripherals connected to it. It in turn charges my Dell laptop.

Am I right in thinking this same dock would charge my Surface Go which is on order? Would I need drivers for the Dell dock or is it all kind of built in to Windows 10 these days?

I would imagine it would charge your Go just fine. I'm not too sure that any of the other bells and whistles of the dock would work with it though.

If it's the same Dell dock that I have, then yes, it will charge your Surface Go. It doesn't let me use a monitor that is connected to the dock though, but maybe it just needs a driver.
