Hi Dan,
I recently ordered the Dell XPS 15 top of the line spec with i9-8950HK. It was on a Pre-Black Friday Sale on Dell website and I got it for about CAD $3561 (USD $2400). I'm just thinking if I should have saved my money and instead opted for the i7-8750H. I would like to have this laptop for a while, so I went for the max spec.
I don't do a lot of editing but I do at times from time to time work on video editing. I do play games occasionally. I prefer to have 1TB storage and I don't want the 512GB option. I'm not a fan of external HDD's. I also prefer to have the 4K UHD screen.
With that in mind and since it's on a sale, was it worth getting it or should I just stick with i7-8750H and upgrade the 512GB SSD? I would love to hear your opinion on this.
This is the spec I just ordered,
DELL XPS 15 (9570)
Core i9-8950HK
1TB SSD
15.6" 4K UHD
32GB 2x16GB DDR4-2666MHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050Ti with 4GB GDDR5
