Denim question

Please don't flame me. I have a HK CV and wondered as I live in UK which ROM is best to flash to get Denim? Used to have GBIE CV but noticed I didn't have all of the network bands available like 2g/3g/4g. Grateful for help. Thanks Matt

If you have to flash your HK Variant, I would use the GBIE CV as within the UK now there is very little need for 2g. The GBIE CV would be perfectly set for denim with out the need for changing region, keyboard or speech settings. Alternatively just enjoy your phone as it is at the moment, and the denim update will come to the HK Variant pretty soon, as the denim update appears to be rolling out to many regions now.

If you wish to go down the avenue of flashing your phone from one cv to another cv, carefully ensure you have the correct RM version, eg: RM-937

I changed my hk variant to no carrier gb, then I saw denim on voda UK so switched to that lol! The back up and restores are fine! Love my 1520!

You'll find that the UK CV has now been updated to Denim, along with the Vodafone Variant. Things (updates) appear to be rolling out pretty fast now over many regions.

How very true my friend. I've read numerous articles whereas experienced flashers (of phones obviously, not the dirty old men type...lol) have bricked there phones, even when following the flashing procedure to the letter. It's sods law! The majority of the time every thing goes fine, but on the odd occasion things may go terribly wrong. So I would say " If it ain't broke don't fix it"
