Desktop Zune image-lauch issue with DisplayPort connection

Greetings. I have been running Zune on my old Win 7 all-in-one desktop for a few years without any issues. I'm migrating to a new Win 7 computer and have started to set up my Zune/XBox Collection, Pass, etc. My new setup includes an HP Envy 27 monitor that has VGA, HDMI, and DisplayPort inputs; the computer has DVI and displayport outputs only. I had initially connected the monitor through a DVI adapter-to-VGA because I did not have an appropriate HD cable, and the Zune backgrouds looked and ran beautifully. However, I replaced the VGA connection with a displayport-to-displayport cable so I could get sound along with video on a single connection. The sound improvement is wonderful with the HP's built-ins, but now the Zune backgrounds do not launch -neither the album images, nor images when available. Is anyone else running Zune desktop with a displayport-connected monitor? What are your experiences? I've checked settings to see if I'm missing something, but the only thing I changed was the cable connection.

I'm considering getting a displayport- or DVI- -to-HDMI cable to try, or maybe even an adapter because I have a supply of HDMI cables. Is anyone running any of these other combos and getting backgrounds launching? Thank you: any related, focused advice welcomed.
