Developers user group

I am thinking about making a new user group for developers. I would give qualifying developers a new user title and there names would appear in a different color (to be determined) in the on line users list. I would also include an exclusive hidden forums area where developers could write up tutorials, app spotlight posts what ever for review and editing before posting in the appropriate open forums area. What do you guys think should I do it do you think it would be beneficial? Any ideas on how to get developers to sign up and join the group? Any other ideas that might help promote developers and draw them to the forums?

I don't know enough about it to be helpful. I would guess most of them hang out at XDA.
