I've been seeing some reaction videos on YouTube about this. I've played Diablo in the past, and I think it's an ok game. Through a couple of the videos I saw (links provided below), the general reaction at the event was negative. I can honestly understand why. Diablo fans are like many others...loyal, passionate, and above all, consumers. To have your preferred platform ignored can sting a little.
I can see why Activision/Blizzard wants to get into the mobile market. They are a company that looks to make a profit. However, limiting the game to the mobile platform may not be the greatest idea. Sure, mobile is big, but ignoring the other 2 large platforms (console and PC) isn't necessarily the way to go, either.
'Game journalists' are starting to defend Blizzard by resorting to name calling (I read a couple articles from Mashable), and it's starting to wear thin with me. I guess we sometimes can't have an opinion that differs from theirs.
Just curious what everyone thought here. I put this in the XBox forum as I didn't really have a better place to put it.
