The answer is probably out there already, but I can't seem to locate it. I'm wondering about the differences between rs1_release and RS_PRERELEASE preview builds. Any help is appreciated thank you.

the former releases on 2nd Aug as official release while the latter is insider preview that got released before that date to insiders

RS_PRERELEASE is - or better: will be - for RS2 builds
