DIsk drives for Surface Pro 3

I am thinking of getting the dock for the Surface pro 3 along with a portable disk drive. On Amazon there's a ton of portable disk drives and was wondering if anyone knows of any good, reliable portable disk drives?

you need to do a search, here, and over at the Microsoft Community, for all the ones that don't work via the dock (or usb port for that matter).
big issues, totally ignored to date by MS, re maintaining connectivity.
I have a Seagate goflex 1.5TB - only connects sometimes - I have to unplug and re-plug for it to be recognised even tho it works fine on my laptop and desktop.
