DISTORTION Camera 1520

I think most if not all lumias have this DISTORTION effect.

Is there anyway wherein you can fix that?
I think the problem is that the camera is in Wide Angle wherein anything that touches the side will be slightly distorted.

My friend has a Lumia 720 and whenever we take group photos people on the side looks a little fat than usual.

I find the same issue with my NL 925. anything which appears int he side looks distorted..

Mmm.. the camera truely wide angle lens...

Yes -- my 1520 does the same thing -- people on the sides of group portraits always look a little distorted and widened. II happens whether it's in 4:3 or 16:9 aspect ratio. I'd love to know why and if anything can be done to fix this irritating "weight-gain."

I think that this is hardware, and can't be fixed. All lens have some kind of distortion, you'll have to crop, or not take close photos of objects which occupy the edge of the frame.

Also as far as I can tell, the 16:9 is just the 4:3 cropped, so there's no real reason to use 16:9.

It's the OIS. Give the phone a wobble and try the shot again.

It's the wide angle field of view (it should be 24mm equivalent or similar). It's normal, even a reflex with a wide angle objective show this kind of distortion.
