Do I need a phablet if I own an iPad?

Being a proud owner of Lumia 920, I am impressed with 1520, its design, its hardware and above all its camera. Although it is 6-inch so only after reading the review I will decide if I will buy this device or not. Although I will be pleased if Nokia also releases a 5-inch variant of this device with same specs including 1080P display.

Now the question is, i own an iPad 2, which I 90% times use for reading purpose. I love its iBook and seldom uses its maps and navigation (which i believe is nothing compared to Nokia HERE). But the question is how frequently does anyone uses phablet as a complete replacement of tablets?

I am an MBA student. I make notes in my laptop, save it in PDF format and read those notes in iBook. So being an an iPad owner, do I really need a large 6 inch smartphone?

It is much easier to carry around and fits in to jeans pocket, but large enough for easy to read those PDF files for example. My personal use is mostly web browsing, watching videos and some times gaming. I frequently find my Lumia 920 4,5" screen too small for good experience in those things. I'm bit uncertain of size still, but when i see it in person i probably find it not too big.

I'm not sure if the 1520 is going to be that good for note taking. It's is just a big phone, not a real phablet. No stylus or 2 apps snap support, unfortunatly.

personally , since i own 920 and iPads , if your use is mostly document reading (ebook / pdf) then nothing will replace iPad as their screen size and aspect ratio is perfect for reading PDFs.. the full iPad i mean, not the iPad mini (which is a great product for browsing and gaming but not for document reading).

having said that, i want 1520 as a supplement for my 920 and iPads ...

*personally i would avoid android tablets like samsung stuff or even Surface tablets because of their aspect ratio (great for movies but not so great for reading ebooks)
