Do Indians like large screened phones?

Hi. Im Pakistani, and just wondering if phablets are popular in India? By popular I mean that given the choice, would an average go for phablet (anything bigger than 5.5 inches). I ask this because i have some Indian channels here, and many ads i see focus on big phone like the Note series. Also, in Indian soaps, the majority of the actors use big phones, (if their not using an iPhone i.e.). In Pakistan, there is really not a trend for phablets. You just see a few Note's here and there, but by and large the majority of the phones are 4 - 5 inches. So do Indian really like big phones?
