Do live tiles drain your battery?

I'm wondering has anyone noticed excessive battery drain with a decent amount of live tiles enabled (say 15-20)?

What's the general recommendation for live tiles and keeping good battery life? I'd really like to enable them for all of my pinned apps, but not at the expense of my battery life.

My battery I would say is normal and I got over 50 or more live tiles on.
