Does NFC consume battery life?

I wonder does it consume battery life when I turn on NFC but turn Bluetooth off

Everything (NFC/BT) uses battery. The more on the more power used. But not that much.

Bluetooth and NFC are completely independent, where did you get that?
Sometimes NFC is used to pair Bluetooth I think, but it does other stuff outside too.

Because both radios would be on, and checking for something in range it can interact/connect with.
