Yes, they sort light up "intelligently", as needed. No way I'm aware of to override that. Sometimes I need to tap a key to turn it on, occasionally it "senses" I'm about to type and turns itself on.

alright thanks thinking of picking it up but the keys are never on in best buy so I was curious
