Does Windows 10 mobile preview hard rest restore the phone without wiping any data?

Hi guys, my Lumia 630 with windows 10 mobile preview crashed randomly after a restart and thereafter the OS did not boot after the Nokia logo. After several futile tries I tried to hard reset it, the exclamation mark came and a about a minute later, it rebooted and the OS was back to how it was before the initial crash...actually with less lag than before too. Any ideas if this was a bug or it was something of the OS I didnt know about?

No ,you might enable the auto backup feature .
