Dot view case

I had seen an early review for the dot view case for Android and one of the reviews showed when the case was open it wouldn't sit flush when opened from the way the spring worked. Is that still and issue or will it sit flush when opened?

A good idea might be to visit a local carrier store and check the case out on either a WP or Android model of the HTC One and see for yourself if the early manufacturing issues have been resolved...

AFAIK they haven't changed the design any. Has to do with the capacitive thing in the front cover.

Won't the android dot view case work with the wp version? If so, Verizon stocks them...I bought one from Verizon for my tmob M8

Has anyone gotten their Dot View case to work on Windows? I just got mine and it won't launch Cortana. Wondering if I am doing something wrong

I have the same issue, everything seems to work but the gesture to activate Cortana. There are no settings other than turn it on or turn it off. Not sure what the issue is.

Anyone else?

The problem is at that the case for some reason needs to be 100% off so nothing is showing. If you then swipe down it will work.

So I was only able to get it all working after a hard reset. Now I have a DotView tab in settings. If you are having problems, try backing up and resetting

Edit: Also I probably should have clarified the original question I had, as I could finally get Cortana with the screen all the way off, but nothing else worked. Was just a blank screen and the notification tray (signal strength, etc) on top

Got my dot view case today. The only way to launch Cortana is when the phone is completely blank and nothing shown on the dot view case.. Then swipe down it'll bring up Cortana. Also it doesn't sit flush when open cuz the back is curved. Not a big deal imo.

Hoping HTC will bring more customization to it. Like music now playing would be nice. Maybe music controls too. Also gesture launches besides cortana just like android.

Got a Dotview case today but it won't show me anything other than the time and weather. Cortana works and if I turn my volume up or down but no notifications. Am I missing something? The only settings in dot view tab are cortana and weather for Fahrenheit and Celsius choices but nothing else.

Just got a phone call and the case didn't even give me the option to answer or deny just showed time and weather while my phone rang. Not happy at all with this purchase at the moment.

I had a lot of problems with it the first time I tried to use it. Only way to get it working fully was a hard reset.

I returned the Dot View case I bought from Verizon (overpriced) and bought a blue one on Amazon for much less. I think the lowered expectations related to price have made me like it more the 2nd time.

I haven't had any issue with notifications not appearing. I've answered calls with the screen closed and had conversations through the cover. I only plan on using it when I am out in places where I feel like I need a little more protection for the screen (softball, volleyball and basketball games mostly) and the fact that it is really easy to take on and off really makes it perfect for those times. Also, the Dot View notifications come in handy in loud places since I often can't hear my phone's alerts.
