Downgraded from Windows 10 - Is it still taking up memory??

[Windows Central Question]

I upgraded to Windows 10 a few months ago but was too glitchy at the time so I downgraded back to windows 8.1. I was wondering if windows 10 data was removed from my memory and not taking up any space.
