Downgrading to WIndows 8.0

Hi,

I know this might sound like a silly thing/ question but I want to revert to 8.0 from 8.1 due to an issue I have with my phone's camera. People with similar flickering camera issue on Lumia 1520 were able to fix it by reverting to 8.0.

I tried factory reset but even then the OS is updated to 8.1

I get you. The recovery tool installs the most up to date software. To downgrade, you may need to look at XDA forums, 'Tutorial Unbrand (Flash) Lumia Devices'. All the best. And do let us know how it went.

Hi otoman45,

You can use my tutorial on XDA like has said vsmh.
However, if you have the Lumia 1520, you can downgrade maximum at Windows 8.0 GDR3 with Lumia Cyan (because there is no lower version for this device).
