Dt-910 compatibility on the 830.

So I've got the DT-910 Wireless charging stand. It charges my 830 fine and everything but I'm not getting the weather and calendar app that would automatically come up when tapping to use nfc. Now all I get is a settings menu. Does anyone know why? Is it the phone or is it Windows Phone 8.1? Any help would be appreciated.

Nothing wrong with your phone, this was removed and doesn't work with any WP device.

Ran into the same issue when I updated my 928 to 8.1 PFD. Really liked it at night and waking up to time and weather. Yes I have updated my lock and glance to show MSN Weather info, but just NOT the same..

Works fine for me. I tap NFC and MSN Weather opens up automatically.

I'm running the latest version preview for developers with Lumia Cyan on the 820

I'm sure I can set it to MSN Weather, but before an app called Weather & Calendar would come up automatically without having to manually set anything up. I thought it was built into the Dt-910 :-(

The dt910 has an nfc tag, a fancy way of opening an app, nothing more. If you want the market is full of nightstand apps for clock & weather, you can also just turn on the glance while charging feature. Only thing I find annoying about it is the bright white led on it. Might tape it over since I do use it on the nightstand...

I missed that feature. An alternative you can do is set your weather in your glance/lockscreen:

I could phrace that better, i ment turn on glance always on while charging. This is found under glance in settings.

Guys, the"weather&calendar" has been deleted from NFC tag after the last update in 8.1. The thing is we now have a device hub and accessory apps. Now you only have the choice of one of your installed apps; this is NOT the same and the content falls short of what we had in the spp that has been removed. The little app was very useful whilst the phone w as in the charging stand. MS has seen fit to make the companion app for the car charger available in the Windows Store and I hope they will make this one available in the Store too. If not, MS please bring in back in a future update.
