Learn how to fix all your XBM music troubles in 8.1 easily.
Step one: Close your account. No point paying for crap.
Step two: Unpin the app and forget about it
.....
But wait you say, how will we play music now?
As a last resort, you can (vomits) torrent music files. Or you can buy this software for Windows and Mac, MP3bee and download music legally (it says so). It's just ?6
Then download OneMusic and bam, you're sorted.
It worked for me :)

What an excellent solution! Why has nobody thought of it before?
Amazing!
You've helped everyone! Thank you, you've shown us the light!
Thank you sir snark!

but more seriously, that's not very helpful because if you ditch something when it doesn't work, you'd be left with nothing eventually.
well that's my angle at least.

also you're not fixing anything, you're ignoring the problem. "Your car doesn't work? No point paying for that crap, buy or lease a new one!"

If I was too abrasive let me know and I'll dial it back when I can, I might end up toning my post down later anyway...

Nah. It's more like, if I'm paying for something, then I expect it to work. If it sucks or becomes something I didn't pay for (It doesn't even download music anymore, just registers an error), I can decide to not use it.

I've seen some of your posts these last few days and, although I understand your frustration, you're becoming quite harsh including towards people here who either tried to help or honestly have no real problems with the app (because it seems to change depending on who's using it... doesn't mean these people are being ******'s).

Xbox Music is not good. But right now it's usable. If it's not for you, I do feel your pain and understand the frustration. I've been one of the most critical users here concerning the app since mid-April. But, as much as you can't be blindly fanatic, you can't also be blindly hateful. The app is better than it was and, as I said, it's usable.

This type of posts is just useless and doesn't help in anything. If you're that pissed, maybe you should consider another app or platform. Otherwise, maybe you could just calm down and see where MS is going with the app and decide then what you'll do.

An easy cure for ffrustration is to remove the source of frustration. In early days I was defending the app as not that bad and that future updates will fix it. After the fourth or fifth update it hit me. There would be no quick resolution. It wouldn't end well. Compounded by the fact that some people would respond to any criticism of the app with dev preview and beta, obviously some harshness is needed. But that I'm paying for a product and it just doesn't work. Am I crazy?
It's also a case of like inverted. I really liked the old hub and the new one just pisses me off so much. I just can't deal

OneMusic is not up to the mark. Reason: It does not list all my music files. Show me an app that lists all music files and syncs those without restarting app/phone, I'll go for it! I wonder if OP just wanted to pass his time by creating this thread :-D

I wouldn't consider myself a major music listener but Xbox Music pass works just fine for me. It list my music and plays it when I tell it too. It plays any play list I create on my surface or desktop without issue.

If you add music apps it does. Ot you could just use MixRadio or MusicMink or MuzikPlayer

Keywords "surface" and "desktop". Talking about the WP 8.1 "app" here

What I mean by useless is this post. This is a useless post. "Found a fix! Leave Xbox Music!" That doesn't help anyone.

You're not just recommending two apps, you're writing a diatribe against Xbox Music, again. In this post (http://forums.windowscentral.com/windows-phone-8-1-preview-developers/280575-16.htm#post2651505) you're being extremely harsh with people who either try to help others or tell you it's just a beta or a dev preview because they don't necessarily know otherwise.

The people here are not Microsoft. Your #FixOurMusic was a good idea until you talked about spamming them. It's useless to do such things.

I didn't mean spam in that sense, I meant enough people do it to get it trending, but no one cares.
Frankly, the app sucks and makes me hate WP. Since ignoring its existence, my experience is so much better

So was I. Its my understanding the Xbox music app doesn't make playlists so they need to be created on another device. For me its the desktop or my surface. Again. For me, the XBOX Music (pass) "App" on my HTC 8x "Phone" works fine for me. :)

Are you talking about Windows Phone 8.1 or WP
Btw, all last week and this week. Daniel's article about Xbox Music mentioned the app as sub-par,Pocketnow mentioned the app as "barely functional" and Paul Thurott called it "****ed up". So you can quit your snide replies. Also the reply directly above yours mentions it as "deplorable". I mean come on...
