Email Stops Syncing When WiFi Disconnects

I am not sure this is the exact problem, but this seems to be the common variable. When I am at home on WiFi, everything is properly synced. Then I leave for work, obviously no WiFi is connected during the drive in. When I get to work and open my inboxes (gmail and work email through EAS) they say last updated 53 mins ago, about the last time i was in WiFi at my house. I manually sync them, all my emails show up and everything works fine. Now I haven't been able to verify it is the lack of WiFi, but that seems to be the only thing that changes. Also, I have the sync settings as "as items arrive".

Has anyone else had this issue and/or know of a setting I need to change so that it automatically syncs through my data plan?

Thanks.

Happens to me as well. Can't trace it back to wifi though. Just randomly happens. Supposed to sync every 15 minutes, works ok for a while and then I look and it's been 46 or 53 minutes. Sometimes won't sync manually, have to restart the phone. This has been going on, of and on for the last 2 or 3 months. Thought if I re-started my phone every morning it might help. Didn't. Happened again to me me twice this week. I like the phone but, I can't have this happening. I use the phone for business. If it happens again, am going to an AT&T store, get a new sim card and go back to my Blackberry. Never, ever had any problems with a Blackberry. Then when I'm due for an upgrade (6 months), will either get a new Blackberry, if they work out ok, or a new iPhone. Don't know if the problems with the window os, or the Nokia phone. But, either way, after the problems I've had with this phone I won't be getting another windows phone. It may be fine for a normal consumer phone. But it isn't ready for prime time yet. Certainly not for a business phone with multiple email accounts.
