Email/txt slowdown (stop)

Hey all, my Quantum 7 has started to "bog down" when trying to open email (3 linked inboxes) or text messages. Sometimes they won't even open, just goes back to the start screen after 5-8 seconds..sometimes opens after 8-12 seconds but then won't open the message thread i pick.

Battery pull makes it better for a couple hours.

Chance I got a virus? Ideas on fixes?

I'm thinking going back to the pre-mango backup and then re-installing mango.
