Emoticons are gone after last update

After the update from june the 17th, the emoticons in WhatsApp messages are gone and turned into squares.

I have noticed emoticons no longer working. Although I'm not certain when it started exactly. They had been working. Then stopped.

Me too. Emoji started working with an update a while ago, and the latest update seems to have broken them again.

Anyone find a fix for this? I'm not seeing emojis anywhere. I'm running the current firmware.

I rarely get messages with them, but it's annoying to know it's a present feature that's not working.
