If you want a live tile, give Sports Scores a shot. You can show up to four teams on a live tile that flips, 2 on each side. The app itself isn't close to espn's, but it looks really good on the home screen.

Sorry. I wasn't thinking. Not a live tile, obviously. I used to get constant updates through texts, though. Like every time there was a score during a particular game, or at the end of every quarter/every inning, I'd get an update via text. That sort of thing. Loved that. Doesn't happen with the WP7 version.

Yes. Would love that. My sister's iPhone gets that. With the Sports Center theme too.

I got tired of waiting and developed an App that does that. (Football only)
If you have the time please try it.

Hope you like it! Please let me know if I can make it better in any way - I already have some ideas for v2.

I would love that, and come to think of it, I never used this feature when I had my iPod Touch. Hmm.

For those looking to get text alerts when your favorite team scores, you can sign up for ESPN Alerts through the ESPN website. Not sure if that is quite the same functionality as what's offered in the iOS versions of the ScoreCenter app, but I figured I'd bring it to your attention in case someone out there was interested.

Premier League + is great for football (soccer) leagues, with nice two sided tile and alerts:



Hockey tracker has multiple! tiles and alerts for NHL :



SportsScores shows more than one game (two on each side!) on the tile. [NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, NCAA WNBA]

Secondary Tiles

Flipping the primary tile for scores is good, but I'd like to see the ability to pin a specific team or school (for college games) with a secondary tile and get just scores for that team or school.

Just checked it out. Looks like I'd be getting promotional ads and what not, as well. Didn't see anything to JUST get game updates for particular games. Thanks for the idea though.

I used it last year and never got ads... and you can customize what games/teams you want updates from and their frequency (end of quarter, end of game, scoring plays only).
