Everything I wished for the UI...

1) Flat but not monochromatic icons

2) Fully customizable tile AND background colors

More consistent with desktop Windows' design language, yet still distinct from iOS and Android.



(Funny note: I left my phone with that image laying on a desk, and two guys in a row asked me how I got the Windows 10 tech preview... :grincry

Not sure I'm liking that second pic. The colors for the logos in the tiles are very ugly and off putting. But hopefully that's an option and not forced on us.

Obviously it's an option, given that the icons aren't as colourful in the first pic.

I hope MS gives us the option to manually adjust the transparency of the live tiles.

I really don't care for the idea of customizable backgrounds and colors of the tiles. Especially non-core apps --- Office, OneDrive, Netflix, Spotify, ect. Those type of apps with non-white monochrome logos look awful when not meshed with it's brand colors. Some times customization needs to be limited.
